First, on how to use NearInfinity to find where the problem actually is, and secondly, how to address the paperdoll animation if that might actually be the root of the issue. I fixed it by changing the paperdoll animation id from something like "FS - XX" to some other value (from a similar non-flame weapon).īut I have no clue how to go about doing so.Īny thoughts or help would be appreciated. What is NearInfinity and how to I use it? First, I downloaded NearInfinity but see no executeable. Where they say I should experiment with "Use NearInfinity to look at the area scripts (choose the bcs folder and then open the corresponding areas e.g: ar0046.bcs. After a reinstall, I don't have a problem with beholders but I DO still have the issue where the program locks up hard or just exits whenever I have a random encounter while moving between areas in Baldurs Gate (I started a new game at the BG2 point). Note at the end that I gave up and re-installed.
